Cupcake and I will be walking in the Amana Maifest Parade on the 6th of May! We will also be doing a meet and greet after the parade! Come visit with us!
So Cupcake and I were invited to interview for KFXA 28 on their morning show! We discussed goats and our upcoming demonstration at this Saturday (April 22nd) at 11am at Bloomsbury Farms in Atkins. I would like to thank the entire KFXA staff for their warm welcome and Cupcake enjoyed all the attention and scratches!
Here is a link to the video! Thanks for watching!
I will be presenting at the Iowa Sheep and Wool Festival on June 17 and 18. Topics will be as follows:
Hoof trimming and foot care.
Deworming, drenching, FAMACHA Scoring and Certification: All participates will receive a FAMACHA score card and a certification.
Lambs 101: how to care for and maintain lambs.
I will be in the Dewitt, Iowa area on Thursday April 6 at 10am. If you are in this area and would like me to stop by please let me know.
I will be in the Vinton/Shellsburg area on Monday April 3 at 1:30 pm. I live very close to this area so travel fee will be very minimal. Please let me know if you would like to be put on the schedule for this day and what time works best for you.
This is where I will be posting what cities I will be around for each day and what times during that day are already taken. Please try to schedule with me at least 24 hours prior to me being in your area. The more people in an area who schedule in a day the less each person will have to pay for my travel fee. And always remember I will return to that area at some point too.
If your animals are on their knees or are in serious pain please call me. I will make a specific trip out to you. Correcting painful hooves is the most important thing to do so that the animal can thrive. Think of it as a human being forced to walk around in shoes that are too tight or too big full time, the only thing you can think of is that you want the shoes off.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
